Don't Eat After 8:00 PM

As you try to lose weight and make changes like eating more vegetables and drinking more water, you also shouldn't eat late at night.

According to Dr. Pamela Peeke, author of Fight Fat Over Forty and an obesity researcher who specializes in stress-hormone-related weight gain, if you consume the bulk of your calories at dinner or in the late evening, the stress hormones that have been building up in your body all during the day are going to create strong cravings for the fats and carbohydrates that fuel the "fight or flight" response, so you'll be likely to eat more.  Those same stress hormones, known as cortisols, are also going to stimulate receptors on the fat cells in your abdomen to accept more fat.

So if you're eating late, you could be setting yourself for failure.  For this reason, it is probably best to get the bulk of your calories earlier in the day.  For this reason, it is probably best to get the bulk of your calories earlier in the day.  If you're eating after 6pm, Dr. Peeke suggests that you try to limit yourself to vegetables, fruits and small amounts of lean protein, while avoiding potatoes, pasta, bread and rice.

Another reason not to eat too late in the evening is that if you do eat a large quantity of calories within four hours of going t bed, you'll have less of an opportunity to actively burn those calories off than you would in the middle of an active day, so the rate at which they get burned will be much slower.  Not to mention the fact that lying down on a full stomach could give you sever indigestion and/or cause a sleepless night.

Why Exfoliate?
Why Exfoliate?

Exfoliation removes dull surface layers of skin, and reveals the youthful and vibrant skin below. As a result, skin looks and feels healthier, smoother and softer.

The dullness and unsightly blemishes such as blackheads are sloughed off, pores are unclogged and minimized and skin is refined. Thus, exfoliation is touted as the best process to promote healthy skin followed by cleansing and moisturizing.

Regular exfoliation (1x-2x weekly)  keeps skin healthy by encouraging skin regeneration and the growth of new skin cells, which results in skin that is acne-free and beautiful.

Exfoliating too often or using products that are too harsh can result in skin that is overly dry by stripping away the body's essential oils.

Dr. Ro Micro-Mineral System is gentle enough to use regularly to exfoliate and moisturize.
